AAT Bioquest生产的吲哚菁绿是一种用于医学诊断的花青染料。 用于测定心量、肝功能、肝血流以及眼底血管造影。ICG 的吸收光谱峰接近 800 nm。这些红外频率视网膜层,使 ICG 血管造影比荧光素血管造影更深入地观察循环模式。ICG 的半衰期为 150 至 180 秒,并且只通过肝脏排入胆。研究显示,ICG 在注射后 20 分钟内靶向动脉粥样硬化斑块,并且在活体检测富含质、炎症、冠状动脉大小的斑块方面提供了足够的信号增强。离体荧光反射成像显示,与注射生理盐水的粥样硬化兔相比,注射 ICG 的动脉粥样硬化兔斑块靶点与背景的比率更高
